Andy BarrowcliffeLead Physiotherapist
I am an ACPOHE registered physiotherapist and have worked in occupational health for the last 12 years. I am married with 3 children and participate in long distance triathlon. I lead a team of physiotherapists, and my typical day at work involves carrying out appointments with employees and managing administrative tasks. However, when I am not doing that, I spend time out in the workplace completing work place assessments and attending meetings looking at ways to support employees from a musculoskeletal perspective. People often ask what happens during an appointment. We typically assess the case, give medical advice / treatment and offer guidance on what can be done both in work and at home to aid recovery. We then (with consent) share a report with both the employee and manager advising on whether adjustments are recommended to accommodate an employee in a safe but productive work role, or aid a return to work.
ElsaSun Rehabilitation Mascot
Elsa is the company mascot and lives with Stuart and Michaela. She will often be found in the office keeping everyone company and looking for nice treats. Elsa likes long walks which keeps everyone nice and fit and the opportunity to have meetings outside.
